I wrote to you because in the past days I see on TV a "reportage" (a real-life documentary)
about the disadvantaged economic situatinon in your country... (I'm sad fro that)
and many greek presons gone to the vehicle registration to return the veicle's plate this is true: a lot of families had 2 or 3 cars so now it was time to get rid of them because the tax on cars was about €1.350 for a medium car... and for this reason, the people can't afford to pay the taxes... so they cancell the car from the register... and keep the cars in the garage or in the house's gardens...
is that true???For cars like mine ( 2000 cc) the tax is about 660 €, for smaller engines the tax is less money
and otehr thing, is't ture that the tax for the owner of an house is about €20 for squaremeter? I had to pay some 600€ for a 110m2 house in Athens. It could have been some more if my house had been in a more "expensive" neighborhood or some less money if it had been in some village on a mountainand this tax was payed in the electric energy bill of the house??? true
I saw the people go in the forest to thake wood to burn to make heat in the home... because the petrol is very expensive, then the goverment uprised the price of electric energy, so people go back to burn the wood to make heat in the house...
they usually buy the wood from the market ( the price is higher than last year ) if they live in a town but they go to the forest if they live in the country-there is a problem with people who cut trees without permision
is't very very sad that the people pay so hard because the governmenants gamblig and cheating on state budget... this is a very old and serious problem since 1821 when the new Greek State was re-born...
Ever in iItaly we have more tax, and the gasoline price is about 1,8 € per liter now we pay approx 1,7€ per liter (so the truck dirver goies on strike) and the V.A.T. is going to be on 23%
but is not the greek situations...
